The collections are located in magnificent locations, from buildings reflecting the most current aesthetic trends to impressive small medieval palaces, and they take us to cities like Santillana del Mar, a city which is itself much like a living medieval museum; Comillas, a historical and aristocratic town set on lows hills flanking its port; Santander and its bay, one of the world’s forty most beautiful places, which we will see by traveling a route that dates back to Roman times; and Selaya, in the heart of the Pasiego Valley, where grasslands extend to the edge of stone walls and houses.

The culinary scene is bound to win over even the most discerning palates, and we will see how anchovies are processed and visit a company specializing in quesadas and sobaos pasiegos (types of traditional cakes from the region), two shining examples of Cantabrian gastronomy.
