Starting at Doca de Santo Amaro, we invite you to discover a whole new perspective of Lisbon, by day or, for an even more captivating experience, at sunset.

 

Enjoy a 3-hour sail in the wide, beautiful Tejo with unbeatable views of the city. Be sure to have your camera ready: you’ll regret not having a visual souvenir.

If you’d like to make it truly unique, we can also arrange to have a chef on board and a live fado show, just for you, so that you can experience all of the earthly and otherworldly delights that Lisbon has to offer to those who look for something more.

Where?
Tejo River, in Lisbon, a 20-minute drive from Praça do Comércio. Similar experiences can also be arranged in Algarve and Arrábida.
When?
Although we invite you to enjoy Lisbon all year round, this experience is probably most enjoyable during the Spring and Summer seasons.

Who we are

We are a small but strong team led by Marta Muñoz Recarte and Glòria Pou. Both of us had long-standing careers in the art world until 2013, when our passion for travel led us to create THE REAL THING.

We are based in Madrid and Barcelona, where we design and oversee your journeys. We have a close-knit network of choice collaborators that make us the really top DMC we are. They include hoteliers with class, tour guides with cachet and chauffeurs with an eye for detail and impeccable timing; people who hold the keys to historic and unique buildings, art curators, cultural ambassadors and personal shoppers; contacts at the trendiest restaurants and bars of our cities, musicians, DJs, flamenco dancers, chefs, sommeliers, bartenders… Farmers and winegrowers, ceramicists, cheesemakers, sports instructors, massage therapists, fishermen, percebeiras (goose barnacle hunters), sailboat captains, jugglers, magicians… Want to meet them?
